This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.
It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes microfiber pads. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan, which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your house from being swept with mop.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect some of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few nice jingles that signalled when it was beginning or finishing its work.
Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to switch out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets caught in a blockage like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
